Restaurant Composting Station
Built a 3-unit composting system for a Myrtle Beach seafood restaurant. Three IBCs modified with aeration panels, drainage valves, and hinged access doors. The system processes over 200 lbs of organic waste weekly, turning kitchen scraps into garden-ready compost in 8 weeks.
Backyard Aquaponics System
Designed and built a complete aquaponics setup for a residential customer. One IBC split into a fish tank (bottom) and grow bed (top), plus a second IBC as a sump tank. Includes plumbing, pump, bell siphon, and grow media. Now produces tilapia and lettuce year-round.
Community Garden Raised Beds
Cut and prepared 12 IBC tanks into half-height raised garden beds for a local community garden project. Each bed was lined, fitted with drainage, and painted with UV-resistant coating. The steel cages provide years of structural support without rotting like wood beds.

Built 6 portable hand washing stations for an outdoor event company. Each unit features a foot-pump dispenser, soap holder, paper towel rack, and gray water collection basin — all mounted on a single IBC with casters for easy transport between venue locations.
Brewery Grain Storage Bins
Modified 4 IBCs into dry grain storage for a local craft brewery. Widened the top opening to 24" for easy filling, added a sliding gate at the bottom for controlled dispensing, and mounted each unit on casters. Pest-proof, moisture-resistant, and easy to clean between grain types.

Every custom project is unique, but these general ranges give you an idea of what to expect. Final pricing depends on the base tank, complexity of modifications, materials, and accessories required.
Simple Modifications
$75 - $150Basic cuts, single valve additions, painting, or simple plumbing. Examples: half-cut raised bed, painted UV-protection finish, additional valve installation, or widened fill opening.
Standard Custom Builds
$150 - $350Multi-step modifications involving cutting, plumbing, and component installation. Examples: rainwater collection system, livestock watering station, mobile wash station, or grain storage conversion.
Complex Systems

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring my own IBC tank for modification?
Yes. You are welcome to supply your own tank and pay only for the modification work. We will inspect it first to confirm it is structurally suitable for the requested modifications. If we identify any issues, we will let you know before proceeding.
How long do custom builds take?
Most standard custom builds are completed within 3-5 business days from quote approval. Simple modifications like cuts and single valve additions can often be done same-day. Complex multi-tank systems may take 1-2 weeks depending on parts availability and scope.
Do you offer installation for custom projects?
Yes. For projects within the Myrtle Beach area, we offer on-site installation and setup. This includes delivery, placement, plumbing connections, and system testing. Installation pricing is quoted separately and depends on the project complexity and site conditions.
Can you build something that is not on your list?
Absolutely. Our listed custom builds are just common examples. If you have a unique idea, describe it to us during the consultation phase. If it is physically feasible with an IBC tank, we can almost certainly build it. We have built everything from outdoor showers to hydroponic towers.
Are custom modifications reversible?
It depends on the modification. Accessory additions (valves, adapters, covers) are generally reversible. Structural modifications like cutting, welding, or drilling are permanent. We will clearly explain which modifications are permanent during the design phase so you can make an informed decision.
Do custom builds come with a warranty?
Yes. All custom builds include a 30-day workmanship warranty covering our modifications, plumbing, and installed components. If anything we built or installed fails within 30 days, we will repair or redo it at no charge. The base tank itself carries our standard tank guarantee.
