Built on a Simple Belief No Tank Should Go to Waste
Myrtle Beach IBC Solutions was founded in 2019 with a mission to keep Intermediate Bulk Containers out of landfills and in productive use. What started as a small operation buying surplus tanks from local manufacturers has grown into the Southeast's premier IBC tank lifecycle management company.

Our Journey
The Beginning
Started by purchasing surplus IBC tanks from food and chemical manufacturers along the Grand Strand. Operated from a small lot on Enterprise Avenue with just two employees.
Reconditioning Launch
Invested in professional cleaning and reconditioning equipment. Began offering triple-rinsed, pressure-tested tanks certified for reuse. Expanded to serve agricultural clients across Horry County.
Regional Expansion
Extended delivery and pickup services across South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. Partnered with waste management facilities to divert end-of-life tanks from landfills.
Custom Solutions Division
Launched our custom modification program — rain barrels, planters, composters, and specialty containers built from repurposed IBCs. Served 200+ residential and commercial customers.
Sustainability Milestone
Diverted our 10,000th IBC tank from the landfill. Achieved a 98% recycle rate across all incoming containers. Became a certified green business in Horry County.
Industry Leadership
Expanded our fleet for transportation services. Reached 500+ active business clients. Published our first annual sustainability report documenting environmental impact.
What Drives Us
The principles behind every tank we save, every client we serve.
Environmental Stewardship
Every decision we make starts with one question: how does this impact the environment? We measure our success not just in revenue, but in tons of plastic diverted from landfills.
Community First
We source locally, hire locally, and serve locally. Our roots are in the Grand Strand community, and we believe in being a positive force for Myrtle Beach and surrounding areas.
Radical Transparency
Every reconditioned tank comes with full documentation of its history, cleaning process, and quality testing. No guesswork — just facts you can verify.
Circular Economy
We don't just sell tanks — we manage their entire lifecycle. Buy, use, return, recondition, repeat. When a tank truly can't be reused, we recycle every component.
Fair Pricing
We believe sustainability shouldn't come at a premium. Our used and reconditioned tanks deliver the same performance as new at 40-70% less cost.
Continuous Improvement
We invest in better cleaning technology, more efficient logistics, and smarter recycling processes every year. Our 98% recycle rate is a floor, not a ceiling.
Based in the Heart of Myrtle Beach
Our facility at 1384 Enterprise Avenue is strategically located for easy access from US-17 and US-501. We're just minutes from the Myrtle Beach industrial corridor, making pickups and deliveries convenient for businesses across Horry and Georgetown counties.

Meet the Team
The people behind every tank we save, clean, and deliver.
Marcus Thompson
Founder & CEO
Marcus started Myrtle Beach IBC Solutions in 2019 after spending a decade in industrial waste management. Watching thousands of perfectly usable IBC tanks head to landfills each year, he saw both an environmental problem and a business opportunity. Under his leadership, the company has grown from a two-person lot operation to the Southeast's premier IBC lifecycle management company.
Sarah Chen
Operations Manager
Sarah oversees our entire reconditioning facility — from intake inspection through final certification. With a background in quality assurance from the food packaging industry, she designed our 7-step reconditioning process and maintains the standards that earn our 98% recycle rate. She personally reviews every food-grade cleaning certificate before it ships.
James Rodriguez
Sales Director
With 15 years in industrial supply chain management, James brings deep expertise in matching businesses with the right containers. He manages our key accounts, designs volume purchasing programs, and helps new clients understand the cost and environmental benefits of switching from new to reconditioned tanks.
Ashley Williams
Sustainability Coordinator
Ashley holds a degree in Environmental Science from Coastal Carolina University. She tracks every metric in our sustainability program — tanks diverted, plastic saved, CO2 avoided — and publishes our annual sustainability report. She also manages our community education programs and partnerships with local environmental organizations.
David Park
Fleet Manager
David manages our growing fleet of delivery vehicles and coordinates all logistics — from single-tank residential deliveries to 48-unit truckloads for commercial accounts. His background in military logistics means our delivery scheduling runs with precision, and our same-day delivery promise is kept over 95% of the time.
Maria Santos
Customer Service Lead
Maria is the first voice you hear when you call and the first person to respond to your online inquiry. She handles quote requests, scheduling, and follow-ups with warmth and efficiency. Fluent in English and Spanish, she ensures every customer — from first-time homesteaders to repeat commercial accounts — receives personal attention.

Coastal Carolina University Partnership
We collaborate with CCU's Environmental Science department on research into HDPE recycling optimization and lifecycle analysis of industrial containers. Two graduate students have completed their thesis research at our facility.

What People Say About Us
“Myrtle Beach IBC has been our sole IBC supplier for three years running. The consistency of their product quality and the reliability of their delivery schedule makes our planning so much easier.”
Tom Richardson
Procurement Manager, Southeast Chemical Supply
“When we started our aquaponics operation, the team didn't just sell us tanks — they helped us design the plumbing layout, recommended the right grade for fish safety, and even delivered on a weekend to meet our timeline.”
Elena & Marco Vitale
Owners, Coastal Aquaponics LLC
“We generate about 40 end-of-life IBCs per quarter from our production lines. Their scheduled pickup program means we never have to think about disposal — they show up, we get paid, and the tanks get recycled. Zero landfill waste.”
Patricia Howard
Plant Manager, Grand Strand Adhesives
“The sustainability report they provided helped us earn a LEED point on our latest commercial project. Being able to document our use of reconditioned containers rather than new ones was a differentiator in our bid.”
Kevin O'Brien
Project Director, Palmetto Green Building Co.
